Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 16, 2026
Manage your consent choices at any time.
ClawList now asks for consent before loading optional analytics and advertising tools.
At ClawList.io, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit ClawList.io, we automatically collect certain information:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on pages
- Referring website
- IP address (anonymized)
- Device type and screen resolution
1.2 Information You Provide
We collect information you voluntarily provide when you:
- Submit a skill for review
- Contact us via email
- Subscribe to our newsletter (if applicable)
- Participate in surveys or feedback forms
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and improve the Service
- To analyze usage patterns and optimize user experience
- To respond to your inquiries and support requests
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
- To send important updates about the Service (if you've opted in)
3. Analytics and Tracking
We currently use several measurement and monetization tools to understand site usage, improve content quality, and fund the site:
- Our own first-party analytics endpoint for events such as page views, content views, shares, recommendation impressions, recommendation clicks, and CTA clicks
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for traffic and performance monitoring
- Google Analytics 4 for page and engagement measurement
- Google AdSense for ad delivery, measurement, and reporting
We use these services to understand which pages are useful, improve the product experience, and measure whether content changes are helping visitors find what they need.
Optional analytics and advertising tools load only after consent. If you reject non-essential tracking, ClawList does not load Google Analytics, AdSense, Vercel Analytics, or our own optional engagement events for that browser session unless you later opt in.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
ClawList.io uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for:
- Remembering your preferences (e.g., dark mode)
- First-party analytics identifiers such as `clawlist_vid` and `clawlist_sid` so we can measure usage without requiring an account
- Google Analytics and Google AdSense measurement and reporting
- Essential site functionality
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect site functionality.
For Google services, you can also manage ad personalization and related controls through your Google Ad Settings. On ClawList, the on-site consent manager lets you accept all optional tracking, reject non-essential tracking, or enable analytics and advertising separately.
5. Advertising and Consent
We may display ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies or local storage to measure ad performance and, depending on your Google and browser settings, tailor ads to your interests.
- We do not sell personal information directly to advertisers
- We try to keep our own event tracking focused on product and content improvement, not sensitive profiling
- Visitors can manage browser cookie settings, Google ad settings, and our on-site consent manager to limit or reset tracking preferences
Our consent categories are:
- Analytics: first-party analytics, Vercel Analytics, Speed Insights, and Google Analytics 4
- Advertising: Google AdSense and its measurement / personalization controls
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics)
- When required by law or to protect our rights
- In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, etc.)
- With your explicit consent
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Secure hosting infrastructure (Vercel)
- Regular security audits and updates
- Access controls and authentication
However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Third-Party Links
ClawList.io contains links to third-party websites (e.g., GitHub repositories). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. Internal event analytics is typically retained for around 90 days unless a longer window is needed for debugging, abuse prevention, or reporting.
12. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
